At times it’s important to be able to isolate one Aquarium animal from the bunch. When our fish or small invertebrates are exhibiting signs of ill health, or when they arrive at the Aquarium for the first time, they must be quarantined from their ocean friends. These easily transportable, colorful boxes boast snap-tight lids, a hinged feeder/viewer window, and an airline access hole to keep our critters comfy.

One of the most essential elements in keeping an aquarium healthy is superior water quality. You’d never know it, but under the pretty gravel and colorful rock you see on our exhibit floors are nylon screens designed keep the water circulating and clean. In fact, our aquarists require fifty yards of the stuff! At $17.43 per yard, it adds up. You can help keep our sea jellies, giant spider crabs, and spiny lumpsuckers feeling fresh by funding a yard today!

These rust-proof grabbers allow our animal care staff members to reach deep into our tanks to manipulate rocks and other fixtures. With sixteen exhibits in our Northern Pacific Gallery, we need twenty-five of these all-purpose grabbers!

If you’ve visited the Aquarium’s Honda Blue Cavern exhibit, you know that our exhibits are chock full o’ kelp! But did you realize that the majority of it is synthetic? The conditions in many of our exhibits are not suitable for real kelp growth, and in addition, kelp can grow up to three feet in a day! These six-foot pieces of natural-looking artificial giant kelp do the trick while keeping our tanks looking gorgeous.
